Going To be overwhelmed or Stressed out? How to find time for yourself without compromising your health and well-being.

An entrepreneur and a parent both have their challenges. But being both an entrepreneur and a parent is particularly challenging. A 6-month-old boy is the subject of this week’s episode of SUCCESS Line, in which I speak with Rucht, an entrepreneur and new mother.

A perpetually overburdened individual, she struggles with work-life balance.

In spite of the fact that I am not an expert on parenting, I do have two children, and I can say with confidence that the first six months after our child was born were among my hardest. My admiration goes out to all working moms and parents out there who are raising children full-time.

We talked about Rucht’s need for patience, and I reminded her of this. Even though she may feel behind and overburdened right now, she is still recovering from having a child and spending a year in a locked-down facility. As a society, we must move away from the idea that today is our only chance and instead focus on the longer term.

Belief in the process Investment in your personal development, along with hard work will allow you to catch up in a reasonable amount of time.

Read on for my top three tips to break free from chronic overwork, multiply your time, and take care of yourself (and your loved ones) in the future, no matter what you’re recovering from.

You Need To Identify The Primary Cause Of Your Anxiety And Stress

Think about what one or two things you could do to relieve 80 percent of the stress you’re experiencing right now. The fact that you are still responsible for these items and cannot remove them from your plate helps you identify a major source of stress. If you’re almost done with a big project, finish it.

Ask for additional resources, or renegotiate a new deadline if you can if the sheer size of the task or project overwhelms you. Or do all of the above.

Self-care Should Be Prioritised

Self-care isn’t self-indulgent or self-serving. Self-care is a necessity for those who wish to serve others well.

For the record, self-care is not selfish. Self-care is a necessity for those who wish to serve others well.

If your own cup is empty, you can’t fill anyone else’s. The solution could be as simple as hiring an overnight nanny, hiring a personal assistant, or booking a babysitter for even one night of peace and quiet This is something that you need more than you think.

Be Kind To Yourself

In order to be a good parent, you can’t expect to cook every meal, stay up all night every night, and spend every waking moment thinking about your children. Grace, flexibility, and patience are virtues that you must cultivate in yourself.

Spend as much time as you can with your child to ensure they have what they need. Any business, company, or brand you run is subject to the same limitations. Despite your best efforts, you are not superhuman and cannot do everything.

Your child (or business) doesn’t need you to do everything on your own. Nobody is requiring that you personally clean every toilet, mow every blade of grass, or lick every envelope.

Multiply the time factor.

My TED Talk introduced this concept. The truth is, we all feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day.

You can, however, make better use of your time by planning ahead.

Your time is multiplied by spending time today on activities that will provide additional time tomorrow. The time and money you invest today will free you from the tasks that rob you of your time and happiness in the long run.

Those who claim that they are too busy to create a process are mistaken, as the following example illustrates: As long as you hold on to this limiting belief, you will remain trapped within the world of overwhelm that you are currently experiencing. Break free by giving yourself permission to set up processes and hire the people you need in order to give yourself more time to accomplish your goals and objectives.

As a result, you are not a helpless victim, but a martyr. Your self-worth is diminished when you allow yourself to be completely consumed by helping everyone else at the expense of your own needs.

Overworked, burned out, and bitterness does not make you significant; serving others with an open heart does.
